BRAKE SYSTEM

Brake Pad – (Nao) Non-Asbestos Organic

NAO brake pads are made of aramid fiber, copper fiber, glass fiber, rubber, graphite, and resin. They offer similar braking performance to asbestos brake pads but are not carcinogenic.

Brake Pad – Ceramic

Ceramic brake pads are made from material very similar to the type of ceramic used to make pottery and plates. Ceramic brake pad material, however, is denser and considerably more durable.

Brake Pad – Semi Metallic

Semi-Metallic pads are resistant to heat and far easier on rotors than their Ceramic equivalent. They tend to be cheaper and – when around 60% metal is present – lend themselves to heavy braking over a long stretch of road or track.

Brake Pad – Low Metallic

Low Metallic Brake Pads contain high levels of mineral abrasives to provide improved stopping power and shorter stopping distances.

Brake Shoe

Brake shoes carry the brake lining inside brake drum systems. They are a curved piece of metal, with a friction material fixed to one side.

Rotor Disc

A disc brake is a type of brake that uses the calipers to squeeze pairs of pads against a disc or a rotor to create friction.

Drum

The drum brake system is a brake part group that allows the vehicle to slow down and stop by heating and friction of moving parts through friction

Brake Master Cylinder (BMC)

The master cylinder is a control device that converts force (commonly from a driver’s foot) into hydraulic pressure.

Clutch Master Cylinder (CMC)

The CMC is part of both the full and semi hydraulic system. “CMC”. Its function is to transform the movement of the clutch pedal via the movement of hydraulic fluid.
